OUTLINE

an opportunity for you the actor to enhance your craft. By working 'one on one' on good material you will be learning from the skills and knowledge of the Casting Director in a safe workshop environment

your screentest workshop provides you with the opportunity to:

 work on your scene with a professional reader in a supportive group environment
 receive footage of your work
 get prepared for the hundreds of screentest and auditions you will have in your career
 apply your craft to the audition room and brush up on your skills in-between gigs
 gain insightful, individual feedback from the casting director
 learn the dos and don'ts of the casting room
 learn from viewing other actors works and feedback
 ask questions about the industry in an open Q&A session

HOW DOES IT WORK
Once your booking is made 2 automated emails will be sent your way  1.  A receipt  2.  A link to the scene library - simply select the name of the casting professional you've booked with, choose a scene from their list & prepare as you would an audition.  If you don't see these emails within 10 minutes of your booking time, please check your Promotion tab (for Gmail users) or your Spam folder as sometimes our emails get sent to the dark side!

Alison Telford  |   Alison has been the casting director for the ABC since 1995. Alison has a huge list of credits which include Angry Boys – HBO/BBC, John Safran – Race Relations, Sleuth 101, Bed of Roses Series 1 - 3, East of Everything Series 1 - 2, The Librarians Series 1 - 3, Summer Heights High, Bastard Boys, Sea Change - Series 1 - 3, Curtin – Before Dawn, Kath & Kim – Series 1 - 3, MDA Series 1 - 3,  We can Be Heroes – Australian of the Year, Glitch, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and Time of Our Lives.

Stevie Ray  |   Stevie Ray is a casting director with McGregor Casting, who began his career after graduating with a BA in Theatre Studies. Together with Kirsty McGregor, Stevie has been nominated for the 2016 CGA, Best Casting Director in a Short Film & Best Casting Director in a Feature Film. Stevie has worked across both film & television; on projects such as 'Double Take', 'Primal', 'Wish You Were Here', 'Griff the Invisible' & 'Animal Kingdom'. McGregor Casting has also worked on projects such as the Oscar nominated 'Miracle Fish', the Australian search for 'A Good Day to Die Hard', 'Beautiful Creatures', 'Beneath Hill 60', 'The Rover', upcoming Marvel Studios 'Thor: Ragnarok', the multi award winning 'Top of the Lake' and the upcoming feature 'Lion' with actors Dev Patel & Nicole Kidman.

Lucky Price (Nee Gorka) |   Lucky is a Casting Director at McGregor Casting with over ten years experience. During this time he has had the pleasure of working on numerous productions, across a range of mediums with a diverse roster of producers, directors, studios and networks both here and abroad. His credits include Blinky Bill, Maya the Bee, At Home with Julia as well as being on the casting team of projects such as Top of the Lake, Animal Kingdom, The Rover, Caught Inside, Griff the Invisible, Beneath Hill 60. International projects include Australian searches for Noah, San Andreas, Beautiful Creatures and 20th Century Fox and ABC Pilot seasons. Lucky heads up the Lifestyle department at McGregors and has been the Casting Director for Channel Nine’s The Block for 10 seasons. Other credits include Reno Rumble, Farmer Wants a Wife, Dating in the Dark, X Factor and Home Made. Prior to casting Lucky worked as an Actors Agent with his sister Sophie Jermyn after graduating from Theatre Nepean in 2001. He has also worked extensively in the theatre in a production capacity most notably including The Sydney Festival, Mardi Gras Festival and Belvoir Street Theatre. Lucky is a proud member of the Casting Guild of Australia.

Micaeley Gibson  |   Micaeley has been in the casting industry for over sixteen years and works with Anousha Zarkesh on some of Australia’s most ground-breaking TV and film productions. 'Anousha Zarkesh Casting' specialises in top end Australian TV and film. Some of the recent productions include: Rake (TV) Redfern now (TV) Cleverman (TV) The Principal (TV) INXS Never tear us apart (TV) Catching Milat (TV) Peter Brock Story (TV) 800 words (TV) Black Comedy (TV) Jasper Jones (FF) Hounds of Love (FF) Manny Lewis (FF) Alex and Eve (FF).  Micaeley's calm and encouraging nature puts actors at ease, invoking great performances. She has also cast national TV commercials for some of Australia’s biggest consumer brands.

Caitlin Well  |   Cailtin is a Casting Associate who recently relocated to Melbourne from Los Angeles.  She started her career in the industry after completing a degree in TV/Film/Radio at Syracuse University.  For the past four years Caitlin worked for Warner Bros. - Feature Casting where she had the privilege of working with esteemed directors such as Zack Snyder, Ben Affleck, Baz Luhrmann, George Miller, and the Wachowski’s among others. Some of her film credits include Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Man of Steel, Happy Feet 2, Frankenweenie, The Lucky One, and Red Riding Hood. She also oversaw the casting of various Warner Bros. projects including Pan, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Great Gatsby, The Lego Movie, Argo, 300: Rise of an Empire, Edge of Tomorrow, and This is Where I Leave You. Since moving to Melbourne, Caitlin is working at McLeod Casting where she has had the pleasure to work with Thea in casting What Time is My Heart, Circle Work, and Neighbours.

Amanda Mitchell  |   Amanda is known for her work on The Dressmaker (2015), Kill Me Three Times (2014) and Mental (2012). She most recently cast the features HARD TARGET 2 for NBC Universal, and A FEW LESS MEN (sequel to A FEW BEST MEN).  In the last decade, she has worked on numerous Australian feature films, including BLUE DOG (prequel to RED DOG), MENTAL, KILL ME THREE TIMES and THE DRESSMAKER, and she has worked closely alongside one of Australia’s finest casting directors, Christine King, for over seven years. 

Her latest success was in casting two lead roles in an upcoming Shekhar Kapur pilot (WILL), for which there were extensive international casting searches. She regularly performs consultancy work on international projects filming outside Australia, such as television series GAME OF THRONES, and the feature film BIRTH OF THE DRAGON. She has worked on hundreds of hours of Australian and international television, including both seasons of MARCO POLO for Netflix, and THE CODE and HIDING for the ABC. She most recently cast the second series of THE CODE. 

This year she covered Australia and New Zealand casting for the NBC network during 2016 pilot season.

Natalie Wall  |   Natalie is a casting associate who currently works with Nikki Barrett Casting in Sydney. She has assisted and worked on some of the biggest projects in Australia over the last few years, including  'The Sapphires', 'Mad Max: Fury Road', 'Tracks', 'Saving Mr Banks', 'The Railway Man' and 'The Great Gatsby'. Barrett Casting has also cast other notable projects such as 'Footy Legends', 'I, Frankenstein', 'Australia', 'The Black Balloon', 'Legend of the Guardians', 'Triangle', 'Drift' and 'Babe: Pig in the City'. Barrett Casting have some exciting upcoming projects and are always looking for new, fresh talent.

Tom McSweeney  |   Tom has cast over 200 feature film, mini-series and tele-movie projects, as well as over 500 hours of episodic television for the US, UK, Canadian and Australian markets.   Tom is a proud member of the Casting Guild of Australia and for the past 20 years, he has been a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA), serving on the Board of Directors prior to his move to Australia in 1998.  Recognized for outstanding achievement by his peers on numerous occasions, Tom has received four Artios Award nominations from the CSA and in 2007 was honoured with an Emmy nomination by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his work on the US mini-series 'The Starter Wife'.

Greg Apps  |   Greg has cast James Cameron's Sanctum, Stone Bros, Knowing, Chopper, Mission: Impossible II, The Tender Hook, Peaches, Gettin' Square, The Honourable Wally Norman, Garage Days, Queen of the Damned, The Interview, Romper Stomper.  Greg was on the Board of the Australian Film Institute for seven years and named in the IF Magazine 2003 list of the 20 Most Influential People in the Australian Film Industry.  Greg has cast great actors in their break out roles, some such as Eric Bana in Chopper, Russell Crowe in Romper Stomper and Proof and Rachael Taylor in Man Proof.

Angela Heesom  |   Angela Heesom Casting (AHC) is South Australia’s market leader and the state's only Casting Guild of Australia accredited, fully serviced, independent casting agency offering premium casting solutions to the local, national and international film and advertising industries.  Operating from studios at the South Australian Film Corporation, AHC has cast hundreds of high profile, award-winning commercials, TV Series such as Danger 5 (SBS), Deadline Gallipoli (Foxtel), Anzac Girls (ABC), Changed Forever (Foxtel) and Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures (Network 10) and holds over 40 film credits to date including WOLF CREEK 1 & 2, LOOK BOTH WAYS, BEAUTIFUL KATE, CLOSED FOR WINTER, ROGUE, SWERVE and most recently TOUCH - featuring Leeanna Walsman, Matt Day, Greg Hatton and Shane Connor.  With over 30 years experience, the former producer now multi award-winning Casting Director has established herself as a prominent figure of Australian Film. Peter Rasmussen  |   Peter Rasmussen is known for his work on Crawlspace (2012), The Lovers (2015) and John Doe: Vigilante (2014).  He has worked for the Maura Fay group and is based at Warner Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast.  Peter has cast for several shows and movies including - Neighbours, Packed to the Rafters, City Homicide, The Killer Me, Chad Chucker and Arctic Blast.

Marianne Jade  |   Counterswirl, The Woodlies, Maestro, Me and My Mosnsters, The Jesters, A Love Story, Dark Horse, Snake Tales, Cedar Boys, Night Train, Valentines Day, Kick, Heist, Boy Town, Macbeth, Farscape.  Marianne works for the Maura Fay Group and is currently working on several projects

Leigh Pickford  |   Scare Campaign, The Infinite Man, Predestination, Fell, The Lovers, Patrick, Killer Elite, Disgrace, The Secret River, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, Molly, ANZAC Girls, Janet King, Wonderland, Packed to the Rafters, Wonderland, Soul Mates, Old School, The Great Mint Swindle, Panic at Rock Island, A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne, Stupid Stupid Man, City Homicide, Murder in the Outback.  Leigh has worked at Maura Fay Casting for ten years and continues to work on a variety of film and television projects.

Dina Mann  |   In the late 80’s she became the Casting Director at ABC Melbourne and during her seven years there cast projects such as: ‘Phoenix I & II’, Embassy I, II & III’, ‘Police Crop’, ‘The Magistrate’, ‘Street Angels’, ‘The Four Minute Mile’, ‘A Matter of Convenience’ and ‘The Fast Lane’. Since becoming a freelance casting director in the 90’s Dina has cast a variety of projects including the tele-feature ‘Waiting at the Royal’ (AFI Best Actress).   Feature Films, ‘Only The Brave’ (AFI best performance award), ‘Road To Nhill’, ‘Crackers’, ‘Head On’, ‘Mallboy’ (AFI best performance award) ‘Japanese Story’ (AFI Best Actress, Best Film 2003), ‘The Widower’, ‘The Jammed’ (IF Best Film 2007) and ‘Lake Mungo’. Shooting has just been completed in Sydney on the Feature film ‘Black & White & Sex’ and Dina is currently working on the feature film ‘Dog Club’.

David Newman  |    David, also known as Dave has worked in various aspects of the industry for the last 25 years, the last 15 years in casting, including 7 years working Christine King Casting. Having started his casting career with hundreds of commercial projects he then progressed to work on some of the biggest and most successful feature film & long-form drama projects to shoot in Australia.  He spent 15 months as the Australian Casting Associate on 'The Pacific' (Stephen Spielberg, Tom Hanks, HBO), scoured the country and personally conducting well over 3000 auditions on this project alone. 'The Pacific' won the 2010 Emmy award for Outstanding Casting for a Mini Series, Movie or Special. In addition, Dave has helped cast the following projects: Devil's Dust, Mrs Biggs, Red Dog, Wolverine, Star Wars, Narnia, East West 101, Terra Nova and is currently Casting several projects at McSweeney and Newman casting.   He is also a proud member of the Casting Guild of Australia.
